I don’t know about you but this week was rough. Wh I don’t know about you but this week was rough. While quarantined with the coronavirus I had a lot to process…Listening to Maya Angelou’s poem And Still I Rise, I was reminded that If we loose our hope we have lost everything. So I turned off my phone and started painting…While exploring layers of stencils and painting my focus was to pay homage to our ancestors who cultivated crops that nourish us, and grow plants that heal. Seeds that nourish and grow, moving through the air sin fronteras. Locally I see table rocks as a symbol of resistencia. #landback #rematriation Experimenting with new techniques of overlaying stencils and paint felt a little awkward but I feel satisfied with the work even if I feel the work is unfinished…Introducing “And Still We Rise!” Thank you @coalicionfortaleza for the work you do to build hope in our communities. #tablerocks #resistencia #artecomoresistencia
